Overview:
CarNow, a leading player in the automotive software industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Human Resource to spearhead our human resources and recruiting functions. As the head of HR, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing HR strategies that align with CarNow’s business objectives and foster a positive and productive workplace/remote culture. If you have experience scaling an organization in the HR seat and are willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with CarNow’s goals, ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent in the SaaS Automotive sector.
- Recruitment and Staffing: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, assist hiring managers to identify staffing needs, conducting interviews, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, conducting investigations when necessary, and promoting open communication. Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance team morale.
- Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management processes, including goal setting, regular performance reviews, and employee development plans. Drive a performance- driven culture within the organization.
- Compensation and Benefits: Collaborate with leadership to design competitive compensation and benefits programs. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- HR Policies and Compliance: Establish and maintain HR policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in employment laws.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop training programs, and coordinate employee development initiatives to enhance skills and capabilities across the organization.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization. Implement strategies to create an inclusive workplace that values and respects diversity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree and HR certification (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) preferred.
- 5+ years as an HR leader, preferably in the software and/or automotive industries.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and build strong, collaborative teams.
