Summary
The Principal Product Designer is responsible for crafting intuitive and engaging user experiences. Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-team stakeholders – the Principal Product Designer will work to create a union of high-level business goals and intuitive understanding of the client to derive high-quality design and experience solutions.

- Thorough understanding of typography, color theory, layout, responsive design, and the ability to apply these principles to brand guidelines
Essential functions
- Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes for web and mobile applications
- Participate in user research, usability testing, and data analysis to validate design decisions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, OEM, Sales, and Marketing to align user interface and experience designs with business objectives
- Incorporate data and stakeholder input feedback to inform design decisions and iterative improvements
- Work with other Design colleagues within workstreams to establish a brand specific interface from which to launch future design projects
- Ensure that designs encompass intuitive UX, accessibility, responsive principles, and best practices
Required education and experience:
- 7+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related discipline within a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) organization
- Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design work including wireframes, prototypes, and final designs
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Miro, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Demonstrates strong negotiation skills to collaborate with enterprise clients on design solutions, balancing business requirements with user needs
- Proficient in conducting usability testing for enterprise solutions with both end-users and key stakeholders
- Skilled in developer experience (DX) optimization, with knowledge of creating intuitive interfaces for technical users
- Experience facilitating design workshops with enterprise stakeholders to build consensus and drive decision-making
- Comfortable presenting and defending design decisions to senior executives and technical leadership teams
Preferred education and experience:
- Experience in and around the automotive industry
- Experience in ecommerce or marketplace products
- Experience preparing design components for RFPs and creating compelling visuals for enterprise sales presentations
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field
